Kalyan Singh Super Specialty Cancer Institute, Lucknow organized a “Health Dialogue” at the Community Health Centre, Gosainganj, Lucknow, with the objective of increasing awareness about cancer prevention and common cancers affecting women.
The programme was attended by Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt, Director, Kalyan Singh Cancer Institute, Lucknow, Dr. Ayush Lohiya, Head of Department, Public health, Dr. Suresh Pandey, Medical Superintendent, CHC, Gosainganj; the Block Education Officer, Lucknow; and representatives of several voluntary organizations.
Dr. Anshu Singh and Dr. Rohit Singh from the Community Health Department addressed the gathering and shared information on cancer risk factors, early detection, and the role of lifestyle modifications in cancer prevention.
The speakers highlighted the need to raise awareness among women about breast cancer and cervical cancer, emphasizing the importance of screening, timely medical consultation, and healthy habits. The role of schools and social organizations in spreading awareness at the grassroots level was also emphasized.
Approximately 70–80 women participants actively took part in the programme. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, school teachers, Anganwadi workers, and health workers, who pledged to support this initiative and spread the message of cancer prevention throughout the community.

Health Dialogue on Cancer Awareness Organized at CHC Gosainganj by Kalyan Singh Cancer Institute

The installation work of a state-of-the-art Digital PET-CT scanner has commenced at the Kalyan Singh Super Specialty Cancer Institute, Lucknow. The inauguration of this significant initiative was carried out by the Director of the Institute, Prof.M.L.B. Bhatt. 
On this occasion, Dr.R.S. Yadav, General Manager, NP-NCD, National Health Mission, Dr. Alka Sharma, Additional Director, NP-NCD, Directorate General, Dr. Neetu Shukla, Deputy General Manager, NP-NCD, National Health Mission, Chief Medical Superintendent of Institute Dr. Vijendra Kumar, Medical Superintendent Dr. Varun Vijay, and Head of the Department of Nuclear Medicine, Dr. Pramod Kumar Gupta, were also present.
With the help of the Digital PET-CT scanner, the assessment of cancer patients’ response to chemotherapy and radiotherapy will be conducted in a more accurate, reliable, and effective manner. After the completion of technical testing procedures, the machine will be dedicated to patient services in the near future.
With the commencement of this facility, cancer patients from Lucknow and surrounding districts will no longer have to depend on other centers for PET-CT investigations. This will not only reduce delays in diagnostic procedures but will also ensure timely and accurate diagnosis along with improved treatment outcomes for patients.
This initiative will prove to be a significant step towards enhancing the quality of cancer diagnosis and treatment services in the state and will take these services to a new level of excellence.

Installation Work of the State’s First Digital PET-CT Scanner in a Government Institution Begins at Kalyan Singh Super Specialty Cancer Institute, Lucknow

On the auspicious occasion of the 94th birth anniversary of the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and eminent public leader, Late Shri Kalyan Singh Ji, a solemn programme of garlanding and floral tribute was organized at the statue installed in the campus of Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, Lucknow.
The programme was led by the Director of the Institute, Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt, who paid floral tribute to Late Shri Kalyan Singh Ji. While addressing the gathering, Prof. Bhatt stated that the entire life of Late Shri Kalyan Singh Ji was dedicated to nation-building, social harmony, good governance, and public welfare. He emphasized that Shri Kalyan Singh Ji always worked for the upliftment of the common people, especially those standing at the last rung of society, and that the holistic development of society and institutions is possible only by following the values and principles established by him.
The programme was attended by the Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Vijendra, Medical Superintendent Dr. Varun Vijay, Registrar Dr. Ayush Lohiya, along with Dr. Pramod Kumar Gupta, Dr. S. Priya, Dr. Anju, Dr. Ruchi, Dr. Abhinav, Dr. Shilpi, and Dr. Rakhi. In addition, residents, nursing officers, paramedical staff, and other employees of the institute were present.
All attendees offered floral tributes at the statue and expressed their gratitude to Late Shri Kalyan Singh Ji, reaffirming their resolve to imbibe and follow his ideals in their personal and professional lives.
