Today a MoU has been signed between Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, B-PACS, Sonai Kajerha and Surya Deo Laxmi Memorial Charitable Trust, Lucknow for establishment of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendra (PMBJK) a significant step has been taken by the parties towards enhancing affordable quality generic drugs as per PMBI guidelines for the patients at KSSSCI.
The MoU has been signed and exchange by Prof. MLB Bhatt, Director, KSSSCI, Shri Abhishek Sahay, Secretary, B-PACS and Mrs. Alka Singh, Chief Trusty, Surya Deo Laxmi Memorial Charitable Trust, Lucknow.
The proposed Janaushadhi Kendra will function under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) inside the premises of the Institute, a flagship initiative of the Government of India aimed at providing quality generic medicines at substantially lower prices, thereby reducing out-of-pocket healthcare expenditure.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director, KSSSCI emphasized that the establishment of the Janaushadhi Kendra will be a major relief for patients undergoing long-term treatment, particularly cancer patients who often require prolonged medication. The initiative reflects the Institute's commitment to making healthcare more accessible, affordable, and patient-centric.
The B-PACS and Surya Deo Laxmi Memorial Charitable Trust authorities had ensured that the timely operationalization of the Janaushadhi Kendra at KSSSCI and maintaining an uninterrupted supply of quality generic medicines in accordance with the guidelines of the PMBJP.
The exchange of the MoU signifies a shared commitment to strengthening affordable healthcare infrastructure and improving access to essential medicines. The Janaushadhi Kendra is expected to become operational soon after completion of the necessary formalities.

Today a MoU has been signed between Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, RAVC Foundation & Sharda Welfare Society, Lucknow distribution of “Apni Thali” free meal to the patient attendants at Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute.
The MoU has been signed and exchange by Prof. MLB Bhatt, Director, KSSSCI, Shri Rohit Pandey, Director, RAVC Foundation and Shri Atul Tiwari, Chairperson, Sharda Welfare Society, Lucknow.
A noble initiative and humanitarian effort are being taken by the RAVC Foundation to be fulfilled by the Sharda Welfare Society, Lucknow under CSR activity for providing healthy, nutritious and hygienic food to the patients attendants at the designated place at KSSSCI.
This initiative aims to encourage patient relatives for eating healthy and nutritious foods with comfort with care within the premises of the Institute, which provide them mental satisfaction for their strength to support their patients admitted at this Institute.
Thus, such initiative committed for supporting those in need and promoting better health to the patient relatives through humanitarian efforts.

दिनांक 14 June 2026 को " विश्व रक्तदाता दिवस " के उपलक्ष्य पर कल्याण सिंह सुपर स्पेशलिटी कैंसर संस्थान के ट्रांसफ्यूजन मेडिसन विभाग में " स्वैच्छिक रक्तदान शिविर" का आयोजन किया गया. इस अवसर पर  स्वैच्छिक रक्तदान करने वाले संस्थान कर्मियों और अन्य रक्तदाताओं को स्मृति चिन्ह और प्रशंसा पत्र देकर सम्मानित किया. इस अवसर पर विभागाध्यक्ष डॉ अंजू दुबे ने बताया कि इस वर्ष वर्ल्ड हेल्थ ऑर्गेनाइजेशन (WHO) ने इस दिवस की थीम " One drop of humanity. GIVE BLOOD GIVE LIFE" निर्धारित की है और इस थीम के अनुरूप ट्रांसफ्यूजन मेडिसिन विभाग आमजन से संपर्क करते हुए सुरक्षित रक्त की आवश्यकता के बारे में एक जागरूकता अभियान चला रहा है. इस रक्तदान शिविर में 25 यूनिट रक्त एकत्रित किया गया .

Today, on 12.06.2026, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed and exchange by Prof. MLB Bhatt, Director, Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, Lucknow and Mr. Mayank Shukla, project Manager, Astitva Foundation, for strengthening the Breast Rehabilitation program at this Institute.
This collaboration aims to establish a collaborative framework for running the Breast Cancer Surgery Rehabilitation Clinic at KSSSCI, to improve post-operative rehabilitation and quality of life for breast cancer patients.
This initiative is expected to pave the way for strengthening the Breast Rehabilitation and Prosthesis program at this Institute for the women undergone breast cancer surgery.
On this occasion Dean, Dr. Pramod Kumar Gupta, KSSSCI, Executive Registrar, Dr. Ayush Lohiya, KSSSIC, Dr. Ankur Verma, Head, Dept. of Surgical Oncology, Dr. Durgesh Kumar, Asso. Prof, KSSSCI, were present to grace the occasion.

A significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, Lucknow and the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). Through this agreement, the process of providing seamless and cashless cancer treatment facilities to ESIC beneficiaries at the institute has been formally established.
On this occasion, Director Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt, Chief Medical Superintendent Prof. Vijendra, Medical Superintendent Dr. Varun Vijay, Dr. Ruchi Saxena, Senior Research Consultant Dr. Surendra Srivastava and other officials were present on behalf of the institute. From ESIC, Regional Director Shri R.C. Jha along with his team participated in the meeting.
During the discussion, both institutions deliberated extensively on making cancer treatment services more accessible and effective. Following this agreement, ESIC beneficiaries will be able to avail advanced cancer treatment facilities at the institute under a cashless system, ensuring better and timely healthcare services for patients.
It was also agreed that outsourced employees working at the institute will be provided emergency treatment facilities only under ESIC provisions.
The institute administration expressed confidence that this agreement would prove to be a significant step towards providing quality cancer care to patients and would further strengthen cooperation between the two institutions in the field of healthcare services in the future.

KSSSCI and ESIC Sign MoU to Provide Cashless Cancer Treatment Facilities

On the auspicious occasion of Bada Mangal, a Sundarkand recital and Bhandara (community feast) were organized with great devotion at Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, Lucknow. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Institute's officials, doctors, paramedical staff, employees, patients, attendants, and devotees.
The Sundarkand recital was conducted to seek the blessings of Lord Hanuman and to pray for the health, well-being, prosperity, and welfare of the Institute and society at large. Following the recital, prasad was distributed during the Bhandara.
The Institute's Director, Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt, along with other faculty members and officials, personally participated in the distribution of prasad among devotees, patients, and their attendants. The entire Institute campus was immersed in a spiritually uplifting and devotional atmosphere throughout the event.

On the occasion of "World Environment Day", a Tree Plantation Programme was organized at "Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, Lucknow", with a commitment towards environmental conservation and a greener future. During the programme, around 20 medicinal and environmentally beneficial trees, including Ashoka and Maulshree, were planted within the institute premises.
The theme of World Environment Day 2026 was “Inspired by Nature, For the Climate, For Our Future.” In line with this theme, the institute’s officials, doctors, and staff reaffirmed their commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development.
The programme was attended by Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt, Director; Prof. Vijayendra, Chief Medical Superintendent; Dr. Varun Vijay, Medical Superintendent; Dr. Pramod Kumar Gupta, Dean; Prof. Sabuhi Qureshi; Dr. S. Priya; Dr. Sukriti; resident doctors, paramedical staff, and other employees of the institute.
Following the plantation drive, all participants took a pledge to protect the environment, increase green cover, and ensure a clean and healthy ecosystem for future generations. The institute administration also appealed to citizens to plant more trees and take responsibility for their regular care and maintenance, thereby contributing towards the creation of a cleaner, greener, and safer future.

The Department of Public Health, Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, Lucknow, organized a Breast Cancer Screening and Cancer Awareness Program at Community Health Centre (CHC), Aishbagh, on Friday, June 05, 2026.
The program witnessed active participation from Dr. Somnath Singh, Superintendent of CHC, Dr. Anshu Singh, Associate Prof. from the institute, and Nursing Officers Kashish Kashyap and Pooja Pal, along with other healthcare staff.
During the program, women and members of the general public were educated about the major risk factors, early warning signs, and the importance of timely screening for breast cancer.
Nursing Officers Kashish Kashyap and Pooja Pal conducted screening activities and encouraged women to come forward for breast cancer screening.
The primary objective of the program was to enhance awareness about breast cancer among women and the community, dispel misconceptions, and motivate people toward timely screening and appropriate treatment.

A “Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) at workplace sensitization Workshop” is being organized at Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, Lucknow, from 03rd June to 06th June 2026 by the Institute’s Internal Committee, chaired by Prof. Sabuhi Qureshi, with Dr. S. Priya as Secretary, Dr. Abhinav Tewari as Co-Secretary, and Ms. Priya Mishra as Program Coordinator. The workshop was inaugurated today by the Director of the Institute, Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt. Mrs. Shalini Mathur, women’s rights social activist, attended as the keynote speaker.

On this occasion, Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt stated that a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace is essential for the progress of any institution.
In her address, Mrs. Shalini Mathur emphasized that gender equality, mutual respect, and awareness at the workplace form the foundation of a healthy and positive environment. She stated that the POSH Act is not merely a law, but an important instrument for safeguarding the dignity and rights of every individual.
During the program, Dr. Abhinav Tewari elaborated on the importance of appropriate workplace conduct, personal boundaries, mutual respect, and professional behavior.
Male and female doctors, paramedical staff, and other employees of the Institute were present during the program.

The objective of the workshop is to promote a safe, respectful, and sensitive workplace environment and to enhance awareness regarding the POSH Act.
