On the occasion of World Health Day 2026, Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute has adopted Magahuwa Kala village, located in the rural area of Gosainganj. The initiative aims to provide comprehensive and accessible healthcare services to all residents of the village.
On this occasion, the institute’s Director, Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt; Executive Registrar, Dr. Ayush Lohia; Medical Superintendent, Dr. Varun Vijay; Associate Professor of the Public Health Department, Dr. Anshu Singh; Senior Resident Dr. Suryakant, Dr. Abhishek Pandey, Dr. Avishkar; Nursing Officers Pooja Pal and Atul Pandey; and Scientist ‘C’ Rohit Kumar Singh, along with other staff members, were present.
Director Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt stated that a line listing of all village residents will be conducted and Family Health Booklets will be issued to maintain systematic health records of each household. In addition, comprehensive cancer screening, early diagnosis of common cancers, and overall health assessments will be carried out for all age groups, including children, women, and the elderly.
A team of doctors from the institute will visit the village every week to provide healthcare services. In the future, the village will be developed as the institute’s Rural Field Practice Area, where field-based clinical care, teaching, and research activities will also be conducted.
This initiative marks an important step toward strengthening healthcare services in rural areas.
