Breast Cancer Screening and Awareness Program Conducted at CHC Tudia Ganj

The Department of Public Health at Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute organized a Breast Cancer Screening and Cancer Awareness Program on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Community Health Centre, Tudia Ganj.
The program witnessed active participation from Dr. Geetanjali Singh, Superintendent of CHC Tudia Ganj; Dr. Ayush Lohia, Associate Professor at the institute; Nursing Officers Priya Sachan and Kashish Kashyap; along with other healthcare workers.
During the program, women and members of the general public were educated about the major risk factors, early warning signs, and the importance of timely screening for breast cancer. Participants were informed that a lump in the breast or armpit, changes in the size or shape of the breast, abnormal nipple discharge or bleeding, skin dimpling or redness, and nipple retraction may be possible symptoms of breast cancer. It was also emphasized that even a painless lump should not be ignored.
On this occasion, Dr. Ayush Lohia stated that early detection and proper awareness can significantly improve breast cancer treatment outcomes. He also highlighted the importance of a healthy lifestyle, balanced diet, regular physical activity, and periodic health check-ups.
Nursing Officers Kashish Kashyap and Priya Sachan conducted screening activities during the program and encouraged women to come forward for breast cancer screening.
The main objective of the program was to increase awareness about breast cancer among women and society, dispel misconceptions, and motivate people toward timely screening and appropriate treatment.
