Breast Cancer Screening and Cancer Awareness Program Organized at CHC Tudiaganj, Lucknow

The Department of Public Health at Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, Lucknow, organized a Breast Cancer Screening and Cancer Awareness Program on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Community Health Centre (CHC), Tudiaganj, Lucknow.
The program witnessed active participation from Dr. Geetanjali Singh, Superintendent of CHC Tudiaganj; Dr. Ayush Lohiya, Associate Professor, Department of Public Health; Nursing Officers Shweta and Pooja Pal; along with other healthcare workers.
During the program, women and members of the general public were educated about the major risk factors, early symptoms, and the importance of timely screening for breast cancer. It was explained that lumps in the breast or underarm, changes in the size or shape of the breast, abnormal nipple discharge or bleeding, skin dimpling or redness, and inward turning of the nipple could be possible signs of breast cancer.
On this occasion, Dr. Ayush Lohiya stated that timely detection and proper awareness can significantly improve treatment outcomes in breast cancer.
Nursing Officers Pooja Pal and Shweta conducted screening sessions and encouraged women to come forward for breast cancer screening.
The primary objective of the program was to increase awareness about breast cancer among women and society, dispel myths, and encourage timely screening and appropriate treatment.
