Powergrid CSR Initiative Boosts Healthcare Infrastructure at Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, Lucknow

Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Powergrid Gomti Yamuna Transmission Limited handed over various medical equipment to Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, Lucknow, on April 09, 2026. The objective of this initiative is to enhance the quality and availability of modern healthcare services for patients at the institute.
On this occasion, Mr. Yugesh Kumar Dixit, Executive Director, Powergrid, NR-III, Lucknow, formally handed over the equipment to Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt, Director of the institute. The event was also attended by Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Vijendra, Registrar Dr. Ayush Lohia, Medical Superintendent Dr. Varun Vijay, and Dean Dr. Pramod Kumar Gupta.
The equipment handed over includes 50 beds, 10 transport monitors, 20 multipara monitors, 10 recovery trolleys, 10 examination couches, 8 ECG machines, 10 crash carts, and 2 video laryngoscopes. The total cost of these medical assets is approximately INR 1 crore.
Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt, Director of the institute, expressed his gratitude to Powergrid Gomti Yamuna Transmission Limited and stated that this support will significantly strengthen the institute’s healthcare services and enable the delivery of high-quality treatment to patients.
This initiative marks an important step toward strengthening healthcare infrastructure and will directly benefit cancer patients in the region.
