Cervical Cancer Awareness Program Held at Lulu Mall, Lucknow by Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute

A Cervical Cancer Awareness Program was successfully organized today at Lulu Mall, Lucknow by Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, under the leadership of Prof. M L B Bhat, the dynamic Director of the Institute.
The event aimed to raise awareness about cervical cancer, which remains second most common cancer affecting women.
Every eight minutes, India loses one woman to cervical cancer.
World Health Organization (WHO) has declared it a preventable cancer. WHO has set a global goal to eliminate cervical cancer by 2030, which can be achieved through:
Vaccination of girls between 9 to 26 years
Screening of women between 30 to 60 years
Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute reaffirmed its commitment to this global cause, emphasizing that awareness, early screening, and vaccination are key to eliminating the disease.
The awareness event at Lulu Mall combined education with engagement through Nukkad Natak (street play), quiz competitions, games, and gift distributions, making learning interactive and impactful.
At the event, Dr. Sabuhi Qureshi, Professor and Head, Department of Gynaecological Oncology, along with other senior doctors as CMS, Dr. Vijyendra Kumar, MS, Dr. Varun Vijay, ER , Dr. Ayush Lohia, Dr. Saumya Gupta from Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, were also present. They interacted with the audience, cleared doubts, and emphasized the importance of regular screening and timely vaccination.
The program received an overwhelming response from visitors and effectively spread the message that cervical cancer can be prevented through collective effort.
