KSSSCI and IIT Kanpur Sign MoU to Foster Innovation in Cancer Research, Prevention, and Treatment

In a landmark step towards advancing cancer care and research in India, Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, Lucknow and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur (IIT Director Manindra Agrawal and KSSSCI, Director, Madan Lal Brahma Bhatt) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today on 23 April 2025 to expand oncological services and foster innovation in cancer prevention, diagnostics and treatment. The MoU marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration between one of the country’s leading cancer research institutes and one of India’s premier technology and research institutions. The partnership is aimed at enhancing clinical and technological capabilities in oncology through the exchange of scientists, collaborative research, and development of novel interventions. Objectives of the MoU: Joint research initiatives focusing on cutting-edge oncological solutions Development and deployment of new technologies for early cancer detection and treatment Exchange of scientific expertise and faculties for collaborative learning and innovation Speaking on the occasion, senior officials from both institutions emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing the complex challenges of cancer care. This partnership is expected to bring transformative advancements in patient-centric cancer solutions, integrating medical science with technological innovation. This collaboration underlines a shared commitment to improving cancer outcomes and represents a significant step forward in India’s fight against cancer.
