KSSSCI Organizes ‘Swachhata Pakhwada’ to Raise Awareness on Women’s Cancer Prevention in Lucknow

Kalyan Singh Super Specialty Cancer Institute, Lucknow organized “Swachhata Pakhwada” Slogan- Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar at Primary School of Ansari Ward, Amethi, Lucknow, with the objective to create awareness about common cancer among females. The programme was graced by Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt, Director, Kalyan Singh Super Specialty Cancer Institute, Lucknow; Dr. Suresh Pandey, Superintendent, CHC Gosainganj, Mrs. Anupama Sonkar, Principal of Primary School of Ansari Ward, Amethi and Dr. Ayush Lohiya from the Department of Public Health, KSSSCI, Lucknow. Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt highlighted the need for awareness among women about breast and cervical cancer, HPV vaccination, tobacco cessation & stressing the importance of screening, timely consultation, and healthy practices. He also emphasized about risk factors of common cancers. Dr. Suresh Pandey told about the importance of health hygiene and healthy practices. Dr. Ayush Lohiya stressed that early diagnosis can help in improving life of cancer patients. He also told the gathering about common symptoms of cancer so that it can be diagnosed at early stage. The event also highlighted the important role of schools and community workers in raising awareness at the grassroots level, with their pledge to support the initiative and promote cancer prevention throughout the community.
