KSSSCI Lucknow and AIIMS Raebareli Sign MoU to Strengthen Cancer Care, Research and Academic Collaboration

In a significant step towards promoting excellence in cancer treatment, research, and academic activities, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed and exchanged between Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute (KSSSCI), Lucknow, and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Raebareli.
As an important initiative to advance cancer care, collaborative research, and academic excellence in oncology and related specialities, Prof. Madan Lal Brahma Bhatt, Director, Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, Lucknow, and Prof. Amita Jain, Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Raebareli, signed the Memorandum of Understanding today.
The MoU aims to expand oncology services, promote innovation in the areas of cancer prevention, early diagnosis and treatment, and facilitate joint community-based programmes and clinical research related to cancer patients.
This MoU marks the beginning of strategic collaboration between KSSSCI, Lucknow, one of the leading cancer research and treatment institutions in the country, and AIIMS, Raebareli, a prominent medical institution located in Raebareli district of Uttar Pradesh, in the areas of education, training, research, and innovation.
The partnership aims to strengthen clinical, technological, and community-based capabilities in the field of oncology and allied health sciences. Under this collaboration, faculty members, scientists, and researchers will be encouraged to participate in exchange programmes for joint research, development of innovative therapeutic interventions, and sharing of knowledge and expertise.
Key Objectives of the MoU
1). Joint Research Initiatives:
To promote joint research projects aimed at developing cutting-edge oncological solutions and facilitating tertiary-level medical services for cancer patients.
2). Development and Utilisation of New Technologies:
To develop and effectively utilise innovative technologies for the early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer.
3). Exchange of Expertise and Faculty:
To facilitate the exchange of scientific expertise and faculty members for promoting joint teaching, training, research, and innovation.
On this occasion, from KSSSCI, Lucknow, Prof. Vijendra Kumar, Chief Medical Superintendent; Dr. Varun Vijay, Medical Superintendent; Shri Upendra Tiwari, Finance Officer; Dr. S. Priya, Head, Department of General Medicine; and Shri Surendra Srivastava, Senior Research Officer, were present. From AIIMS, Raebareli, Lieutenant Colonel (Dr.) Gaurav Trivedi was present.
This agreement is an important initiative that will provide a new direction to collaboration between the two institutions and contribute significantly towards cancer prevention, early diagnosis, advanced treatment, research, training, and community healthcare services.
