Raksha Bandhan Celebration at Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, Lucknow

A Rakhi (Raksha Bandhan) celebration was organised today at Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, Lucknow, by the Rashtra Sevika Samiti Sampark Vibhag, Awadh Prant, to mark the completion of 90 years of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti. The programme was held under the guidance and patronage of Shashi Didi, Kshetra Pracharika, Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
The programme was attended by Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt, Director of the Institute. He said that Raksha Bandhan is not merely a festival celebrating the bond between brothers and sisters, but also conveys the values of mutual trust, affection, service and social harmony. He appreciated the initiative of Rashtra Sevika Samiti to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with doctors, nursing staff and other employees working at the healthcare institution, describing it as a meaningful gesture that strengthens social bonds and a sense of togetherness.
Savitri Singh Ji, Contact Head, Awadh Prant, said that the completion of 90 years of Rashtra Sevika Samiti is an important occasion to further strengthen the values of service and dedication to the nation. She highlighted that doctors, nursing staff and other healthcare employees who work with dedication day and night play an important role in serving society.
On the occasion, the sisters of Rashtra Sevika Samiti tied Rakhis on male and female doctors, administrative officers, nursing staff and other employees of the Institute. In addition, marking the completion of 90 years of the organisation, Rakhis were specially tied to 90 nursing sisters as part of the celebration.
Representing Rashtra Sevika Samiti, Savitri Singh Ji, Contact Head, Awadh Prant; Anju Prajapati Ji, member of the Prachar Toli and State Women’s Commission; Kanchan Ji, Lucknow Vibhag Karyawahika; Rita Bhatt Ji, Lucknow Vibhag Vyavastha Pramukh; Vidhu Ji, Contact Head, Eastern Bhag; Vandana Khare Ji, Contact Head, Southern Bhag; Rekha Ji, Southern Bhag Seva Pramukh, along with other sisters from Gayatri Nagar, were present at the programme.
Faculty members, resident doctors, nursing staff and other employees of the Institute also attended the programme. The Raksha Bandhan celebration strengthened the spirit of affection, harmony, mutual respect and social cohesion among the doctors, nursing staff and employees of the Institute.
