KSSSCI Launches Free Lymphedema Prevention and Treatment Clinic for Cancer Patients

Department of surgical oncology at KSSSCI along with Astitva foundation started free lymphedema prevention and treatment clinic. Inauguration of this opd was done by Director of KSSSCI Prof. M L B Bhatt in presence of Director of Astitva foundation Dr Seema Singh,medical superintendent Dr Varun Vijay ,Dean Dr. Pramod Gupta and faculty from surgical oncology Dr.Ankur Verma,Dr.Durgesh Kumar, and Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh. The main aim of this clinic is to educate patiens regarding lymphedema and its preventive measures, early diagnosis ,treatment and provide free stockings and breast prosthesis.
Inaugural opd which was done on 8th July registered and treated more than 30 patients of breast cancer with lymphedema. Pressure stockings

free of cost to all of them by astitva foundation.
Director of the institute Prof. M L B Bhatt told that this clinic will be of great help in providing world class service to all the patients who are suffering or having risk of developing lymphoedema after cancer surgery treatment.
