Scientific Update Meeting on Endometrial Cancer Highlights Early Diagnosis and Precision Treatment

With the objective of enhancing public awareness about endometrial cancer and promoting its early diagnosis and precision treatment, a Scientific Update Meeting was organized today at Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, Lucknow, as part of Endometrial Cancer Awareness Month.
The theme of the programme was "Advancing Awareness, Early Diagnosis and Precision Treatment in Endometrial Cancer."
The programme was chaired by Prof. Sabuhi Qureshi, Head of the Department of Gynecologic Oncology. Addressing the gathering, she highlighted the risk factors, early symptoms, importance of timely screening, and advances in the management of endometrial cancer. She emphasized that early detection and appropriate treatment can significantly improve patient outcomes and help control the disease effectively.
The scientific session featured expert lectures on various aspects of endometrial cancer. Dr. Rumita Singh delivered a talk on "Let's Know About Endometrial Cancer", Dr. Saumya Gupta presented "Update on Endometrial Cancer Management", and Dr. Abhishek Tiwari spoke on "Recent Trials: Survival Impact in Advanced Endometrial Cancer." The programme concluded with a Multidisciplinary Case Discussion (MDC) involving expert faculty members.
The event was compered by Dr. Shivangi Shankar Srivastava and Dr. Arati Trivedi. The meeting witnessed active participation from faculty members, resident doctors, patient attendents and healthcare professionals, who gained insights into the latest scientific developments in the diagnosis and treatment of endometrial cancer.
On the occasion, the experts appealed to women not to ignore abnormal uterine bleeding or any other suspicious symptoms and to seek timely medical consultation and screening. They reiterated that awareness, early diagnosis, and precision treatment are the keys to better outcomes and effective management of endometrial cancer.
