A free Hepatitis B and C Screening Camp was organised under the National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme (NVHCP) successfully from 01 June to 06 June 2026 at Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute (KSSSCI), Lucknow, in the institute's OPD building.

A large number of patients and institute employees enthusiastically participated in the camp and underwent screening for Hepatitis B and C, demonstrating their awareness and commitment towards preventive healthcare. During the camp, approximately 200 people were screened.

The Department of Microbiology served as the Viral Load Testing Centre in the successful organisation of the programme. The camp was conducted under the leadership of Dr Manisha Gupta, In-charge, Viral Load Testing Centre and Department of Microbiology.

The programme received valuable guidance and support from Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt, Director, KSSSCI; Dr Vijendra Kumar Singh, Chief Medical Superintendent, and Dr Varun Vijay, Medical Superintendent. The dignitaries visited and reviewed the camp on various occasions, encouraging the staff and participants.

The administration also reaffirmed its commitment to organising similar awareness and screening initiatives in the future for the promotion of public health.
